100 Days of Summer | 16 of 100
Summer goals : The end of a good book and some yummy sorbet after a long day of work. Lately the question I get is when do I have time to read. And really, I'm not sure except every little minute I can sneak in. For the most part, I don't sit on the computer or scroll my device or watch shows [that I don't watch with Mitch] when I'm into a good book. I get obsessed with the story on the page and decisions boil down to X versus time with characters.
I've always been this way, obsessive about books. As a child my mother grounded me from my books as punishment. Yup, took away my books. In school I would hide my book under the desk while the teacher would be instructing because the characters were addictive.
And I still love the characters. I don't only read one kind of a book or about things I'm necessarily comfortable with or the familiar because part of the gift of a book is being exposed to it all.
