On Sunday we celebrated my middle son's fourth birthday. He is my child who wants to know how to make the radio louder, which way I go to work and what the path is to home.
A few months ago he test drove our neighbor's electric car and when I saw the joy on his face I knew it was time to let go a little and give my parents the green light to buy a car, of the electric variety, for him. This is something that in 9 and a half years of life with my oldest we had not become comfortable with yet.
I think throwing caution and reason to the wind was the right call. He is so pleased with himself and I have to say a pretty darn good driver.
